esp Artista fundamental en el panorama de la fotografía actual, Jean Marc Bustamante (Toulouse, 1952) con trabajos sin referencias cronológicas ni espaciales, que dejan al espectador sin anclajes intelectuales al enfrentarse a la imagen. Con ellas trata de poner de manifiesto que aquello que se perdió es a veces más importante que lo que ha quedado, y en la intuición de lo perdido es donde se encuentra la nostalgia y la familiaridad.

eng Fundamental artist on the current photographic scene, Jean Marc Bustamante (Toulouse, 1952) arrives at the Estiarte stand with a selection of photographs from the series Something is Missing, from 1997, a series which he commenced in 1995. These are works without any chronological or spatial references, which leave the viewer with no intellectual anchorages when they confront the image. With them, the artists seeks to reveal that what was lost is sometimes more important than what has remained, and in the intuition of what is lost one finds nostalgia and familiarity.
